Homemade Sandwich Bread.

I've been experimenting with sandwich bread all month. I'm still in my beginner stage, but I'm comfortable with sharing this version! Eventually, I will get more tools like a thermometer for accurate warm water, bread pans, and a bread slicer! For now, I will continue to freestyle until I have the perfect recipe. I use a stand mixer for the recipe, but you can mix everything in a large bowl and then knead by hand.

Homemade Bread Ingredients:
2 cups warm water
1 tablespoon Fleischmann's instant yeast
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons salt
4 1/2 cups bread flour
4 tablespoons salted butter
You can adjust ingredients for your homemade bread. You can use avocado oil or butter in your mixture.
Directions:
To your large mixing bowl, add two cups of water, yeast, and honey. Mix for a few seconds and then let it rest for 10-15 minutes. Once you see it start to bubble/foam, then you know it's ready!
Add olive oil and salt. Add your kneader attachment and start mixing on medium speed.
Mix in flour until a dough ball starts to form.
Knead for 5 to 8 minutes, or until the dough starts to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
Turn off the mixer and grease your hands with oil.
Gently form the dough into a nice ball.
Grease your bowl, add the dough ball, and cover with a damp kitchen towel for an hour. I proofed inside the oven for an hour.
Punch the dough ball down.
Cut the dough in half. You can eyeball it or use a scale.
Stretch each dough ball out, and use your hand to slap the dough. This will prevent air bubbles. I don't have an exact measurement just yet, but form the dough into a rectangular shape.
Grease your bread pans.
Roll each dough into a log and carefully place seam side down into the pan. Roll from the shorter side.
Cover and proof for an additional 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350.
Bake for 35-40 minutes.
Melt butter and brush it onto bread.
Rest in pans for 10 minutes, and then transfer to a cooling rack.
Enjoy your homemade bread!
